UPDATE:
Plans have changed from the log cabin design you see below to a stick built cabin with additional beds in each cabin. The cabins will be built on site, each housing 10 campers and a counselor. Building four double cabins in the Spring will double our current summer camp capacity of 60 cabins.
How can I help, you may be asking? You can sign up to volunteer, or you can donate online by visiting this link: http://www.campakita.com/donate_now_.html or, you can contact our development director at (630) 856-2860, development@campakita.com, to discuss a gift of something other than cash.
Kids can help, too! Click here for a .pdf file of a paper cabin that when cut out and assembled will
create a little bank. Once the bank is built, children can save to help build Kabins 4 Kids. Instructions are on the file.
We're on to Phase II in developing Camp Akita, building Kabins 4 Kids. Our capacity for guests needs to triple, so we'll be building cabins for quite some time!
To follow are links to .pdf files to provide information on this campaign, as well as to promote it in the local church or school, or with
friends and those genuinely interested in special programs for kids.
