What are the costs? A: That depends on many variables. Cabins have set rates for members and non-members. The Lodge and Dining Hall are priced based on the type of group, time of week, size
of group, # of meals, special needs, etc. All specific cost questions should be directed to the youth department.
How is payment made? A: We accept cash, check, Mastercard or Visa. A nonrefundable deposit on cabin rental is required to guarantee your reservation and is due within thirty (30) days
of your reservation. If your reservation date does not allow for the thirty (30) days, this deposit is due at the time of making your reservation.
Where do I check in? A: Our check-in policy will be explained to you upon confirmation of your reservation.
When can I arrive/depart? A: Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time for cabins and guest rooms is 10:00 a.m.
What should I bring? A: Bed Linens, Towels, Food, Clothing and Personal Items. Cabins have one full bed and the rest of the beds in the cabins are twins.
Are linens offered at Akita? A: Linens are supplied for only the guest rooms at the Lakeside Lodge. For all other accommodations, you must
bring your own sheets, blankets, and towels.
What is the smoking policy at Camp Akita? A: Akita is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted on the property.
Can we use the waterfront facilities? A: The lake is available at all times of the year. Certified water safety
instructors are NOT provided, except for specified times during the summer camp season. You may use the waterfront at your own risk, if you have a certified lifeguard.
Are pets permitted in camp? A: Pets are not permitted at any time at Camp Akita.
What about campfires? A: Multiple campfire circles have been built around camp. These may be used by adults only. No fires may be built in unauthorized areas.

Do we need to bring our own sports equipment, etc.? A: A modest supply of recreational supplies is available. Arrangements should be made in advance with the camp staff.
Can we bring our own food into the Lodge? A: No. Groups cannot use the cooking facilities in the Lakeside Lodge.
However, small groups can rent the cooking facilities in the Pine Lodge.
Can any group rent Akita? A: Yes. However, we do reserve the right to refuse a group for any reason.
What type of programming do you provide? A: We do not provide a program for your group. We will be more than happy to assist you in any manner that we can so that your event runs smoothly.
What audio visual support do you provide? A: Our facilities are equipped with a complete sound system, including an
amplifier, equalizer, microphones, CD and cassette players. The main meeting room in our lodge is also equipped with a video screen, VCR, and overhead
projector. If you require audio visual support, please let us know.
